The Recurate team is constantly expanding as we build out our expertise in launching and growing resale programs. Each of us brings experience in an array of industries from resale to sustainability to retail. Our team members form integral parts of a system designed to make integrating a resale channel as easy as possible for our brand partners. In our Get To Know series, we’ll be chatting to Recurate employees about how their professional journeys led them to join the team shaping the future of recommerce.

  1. Tell us a bit about your professional journey?
From a really young age I was interested in making a positive impact, especially on the planet. I started off my career working with corporate communications at IKEA with a focus on sustainability. Over the course of my career and my masters I found my passion at the intersection of sustainability and technology. I joined my first early stage startup in 2019, building an electric vehicle subscription service, from there I knew I loved the startup environment and building technology that’s impactful for people and the planet.
  2. Why were you interested in working at Recurate?
Recurate piqued my interest in so many ways. I loved the idea of being able to work from a fairly blank canvas and be a part of growing something. The resale industry is at such a pivotal point and has so much potential to offer. In addition, our founders Adam and Wilson come from such and incredible professional background and I knew I could learn from both of them.
  3. What do you enjoy about your role at Recurate?
I love our team! The culture we have makes every meeting, long day, and brand launch that much more impactful. I started off in customer service and have had the opportunity to learn and grow in so many different areas. I truly work cross-functionally everyday and learn so much.
  4. What excites you most about resale?
Everyone does resale in some way - between third party platforms, garage sales, and even between friends and family. I love the idea of encouraging small, everyday changes that demonstrate sustainable behavior. The most impactful, sustainable lifestyle choices come from small behavior changes, and resale is a huge part of that movement.
  5. What is your favorite secondhand buy?
I love my favorite, oversized jean jacket! It’s a simple staple in my closet and I love it even more knowing that it’s pre-loved!
